The Art+Fire Project is an interactive performance artwork on the shore of Lake Pepin in Stockholm, WI.

Each year,
we invite regional and international artists to help us design and
build a large wooden sculpture. Members of the community of every age
background, skill level are invited to help construct the sculpture and
create willow frame lanterns which will be displayed for the public
during a day long event in September. At the end of an afternoon of
live music, concessions, and craft projects for all ages in the park,
we light the sculpture on fire and burn it to the ground.
The September 25 & 26 celebration preceding the burn will include art-making activities in the park, live music, refreshments, and a display of handmade lantern in the park. Join us for the burn at dusk on September 26.
This year's festival will include the creation of temporary sculptures in the park by a number of guest artists. Go to the Artists page for more information!
